《萊佛士動(dòng)物學(xué)公報(bào)》(RBZ)是一份同行評議的期刊，發(fā)表高質(zhì)量的論文，涉及東南亞及其鄰近地區(qū)動(dòng)物的分類學(xué)、生態(tài)學(xué)和保護(hù)生物學(xué)。該雜志旨在建立東南亞“動(dòng)物多樣性”的優(yōu)質(zhì)信息。此外，該期刊亦會(huì)發(fā)表在新加坡國立大學(xué)李光前自然歷史博物館(LKCNHM)的動(dòng)物參考館藏(ZRC)內(nèi)的論文。將考慮描述性和實(shí)驗(yàn)性論文。同樣，將考慮出版單一物種(昆蟲分類群除外)和生態(tài)系統(tǒng)研究。昆蟲分類的單一種描述不被接受，除非在編輯的強(qiáng)烈建議下。除非具有重要的科學(xué)價(jià)值，否則將不再接受核對表或基于新記錄的手稿。除上述政策及動(dòng)物新紀(jì)錄外的文件，只會(huì)由編輯/編委會(huì)酌情決定是否接受?！度R佛士動(dòng)物學(xué)公報(bào)》每年將由一卷組成。當(dāng)手稿和資金許可時(shí)，將出版單獨(dú)編號的補(bǔ)充叢書。從2005年起，RBZ將轉(zhuǎn)換為在線出版物。因此，印刷的硬拷貝很少，在RBZ發(fā)表的論文將以PDF文件分發(fā)。發(fā)表于RBZ的論文，可于RBZ網(wǎng)站下載作研究用途。

The Raffles Bulletin of Zoology (RBZ) is a peer-reviewed journal, which publishes high quality papers in Taxonomy, Ecology and Conservation Biology of animals from Southeast Asia and its adjacent areas.The journal aims to build up quality information on the “animal diversity” of Southeast Asia in particular. The journal will also publish papers from outside the stated geographic range that deal with material deposited in the Zoological Reference Collection (ZRC) of the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (LKCNHM), National University of Singapore. Both descriptive and experimental papers will be considered. Similarly, both single species (except for insect taxa) and ecosystem studies will be considered for publication. Single species descriptions for insect taxa are not accepted except under strong recommendations from Editors. Manuscripts that are checklists or based on new records will no longer be accepted unless they are of significant scientific value. Papers outside the stated policy and new records of animals will only be accepted at the discretion of the Editors/Editorial Board.The Raffles Bulletin of Zoology will consist of a single volume each year. A separately numbered supplement series will be published as and when manuscripts and funding permits. From 2005, the RBZ will be converted to an online publication. As such, very few hardcopies will be printed and papers published in the RBZ will be circulated as PDF files. Papers published in the RBZ will be available for downloading via the RBZ website for research purposes.
