ALEA發(fā)表概率論、隨機過程、數(shù)理統(tǒng)計及其應(yīng)用方面的研究文章。它還對近年來發(fā)展迅速的學科發(fā)表評論文章。所有提交的文章都經(jīng)過同行的嚴格評審，并在被接受后立即發(fā)表。ALEA是拉丁美洲概率和統(tǒng)計社區(qū)的電子期刊，它提供對所有內(nèi)容的開放訪問，并且只使用免費程序。只要作者承認論文的來源，他們就可以自由地、不受任何限制地將發(fā)表的文章存入他們的機構(gòu)知識庫。

ALEA publishes research articles in probability theory, stochastic processes, mathematical statistics, and their applications. It publishes also review articles of subjects which developed considerably in recent years. All articles submitted go through a rigorous refereeing process by peers and are published immediately after accepted.ALEA is an electronic journal of the Latin-american probability and statistical community which provides open access to all of its content and uses only free programs. Authors are allowed to deposit their published article into their institutional repository, freely and with no embargo, as long as they acknowledge the source of the paper.
